The automated Black Soldier Flies (BSF) composter aims to revolutionize the world of farming and food waste management. Using BSF in composting serves as an effective solution to the issue of food waste, prevalent in today’s society. Our group plans to construct a contraption that acts as an ecosystem for the BSF to reproduce and feed on food waste. Firstly, food waste will be inserted into the contraption, where the BSF larvae feed on it. After the food waste is wholly broken down, the ultrasonic sensor will detect low levels of food waste. The heater and servo motor will be turned on concurrently which will drive the BSF to the collecting box box to be collected as animal feed. The larvae are then going to move to the breeding box to grow up to become BSF adult fly for reproduction; the compost can be used for aiding in plant growth. This machine will make the process cleaner, more efficient and more automated to create a more sustainable environment for everyone.

Our project addresses the critical need for real-time monitoring of water pollution and its dynamics through the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) sensor technology. Focusing on the continuous measurement and transmission of pH and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) levels, pivotal indicators of water quality, this initiative aims to offer immediate insights into pollution variations. The collected data is methodically stored in a centralised IoT-enabled database, ensuring streamlined accessibility. A user-friendly application complements this system, granting users convenient access to the water quality data. By merging IoT sensors, data storage, and a user interface, this project strives to contribute significantly to the battle against water pollution. This real-time approach has the potential to foster awareness and prompt actions to reduce pollution effects on water resources and the environment.

Time flies. With the advent of the era of science and technology and the increase of research fields and projects, the demand for laboratory experiments by researchers has also increased. However, the time required to adjust the microscope focus during the experiment is too long, the efficiency of the experiment is extremely low, which often leads to the delay of scientific research results. Therefore, we have developed this automatic focusing microscope to reduce the time required to adjust the microscope, which can greatly improve the efficiency of researchers and accelerate the output of results.

As there is an increasing concern of people vandalising the precious artefacts at heritage site. We notice that they faced two major difficulties, which is surveilling those artefacts round the clock as well as limiting the number of visitors in the same room. The current solution implemented is to have workers manually limiting the number of visitors and stop them from getting too close to the artefacts. This will heavily increase the resources needed to guard the sites and the artefacts. DoNotTouch, a system that could solve these problems. This system includes an automatic barrier that can count and limit the number of visitors that enter the attraction. Moreover, there will also be a device that prevents visitors from accessing the artefacts. This device will detect and sound the alarm to warn the visitors, as well as alert the security so that they can take appropriate action.
